Incubit’ AI technology Investment recipient, Anaut Inc,. Is now Established as a AI X Surgical Medicine Start Up, and is now Raising Funds
Incubit Inc,. (hereafter: Incubit) who is established as a expert in image recognition using deep learning technology started a β project of co-development incubation program called “Incubit for seeds” in 2018, where Incubit invests technology into an individual with a vision, and an expert knowledge in a specific area to create innovation in the physical real world. Incubit worked with two active surgeons for a period of 18 months. The two surgeons founded Anaut Inc,. together and received third party allotment from Beyond Next Ventures. They will now start commercializing their surgery support AI system.
Technical investment from “Incubit for Seeds Beta”
Incubit started a β project of co-development incubation program called “Incubit for seeds” in 2018, in aims of creating innovation utilizing AI, and establishing a solid ground for value creation. During the Beta Version Incubit invested technology to 2 active surgeons to create a “surgery support AI” from 2018 to 2020.
Incubit and the 2 surgeons of the project aimed to “provide safer surgeries”, and developed a prototype AI system, to automatically analyze what the sergen can see to show what organs to cut and what organs not to in real time.
Establishing Anaut and Fundraising
Anaut set their mission to “Create a new map to bring surgical medicine to the future” and was founded in July 2020. Developing the “map for the human body” which is an AI based surgery support system, to support “recognition” and “decision” of the surgeons during surgery to reduce surgery time, complications and improve their ability, they aim to contribute to a more safe surgical medicine. They were able to receive third party allotment from Beyone Next Ventures Inc,. and aims to increase the development speed of the system.

Comment from Tadashi Kobayashi, the CEO of Anaut
If we are able to show useful information during surgery using AI, surgery can be done more safely and effectively. Japan’s surgeons are one of the best of the world. Using what was learnt and applying that to develop an AI will not just move surgical medicine forward in Japan but the world.
2 and a half years has passed since I brought the Idea of a surgery supporting system and the passion to “provide safer surgeries”. I believe that we are standing now because Incubit supported us not just with the AI technology investment but their understanding the necessary information related to surgery and worked with us as a partner. An idea turning into a whole business makes it so real, even though it was unimaginable when the project had started.
